What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker position at CAP Carpet Inc?
Making sure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, on time and with the proper certifications required by customers – includes sample orders, all product orders, inventory management, warehouse management, and fabrication of product for customers.
Essential Functions
Essential Functions may include the following but are not limited to these functions. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
- Identifies and reports important issues that affect the performance or function of the warehouse.
- Proactively manages inventory and makes recommendations regarding stocking levels, reorder points, products to drop and liquidation due to slow movement, with the objective of having a low Out-of-Stock rate and low inventory obsolescence losses.
- Check inventory for in-stock orders and place special orders.
- Assist with stock inventory management when called upon through counts, reorders and sales activity or lack thereof.
- Fulfill shelf stock samples orders timely and accurately.
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, sort, label, store).
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Complete logs into inventory.
- Report discrepancies to supervisor/management.
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Prepare documentation (damaged stock, receipts, etc.).
- Perform other aligned duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Education and Experience
- High school education or equivalent.
- Must understand and utilize standardized operations process.
- Warehouse experience is helpful however not required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity may also be required.
- The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee generally works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation. Warehouse environment may involve temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to injury.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
