What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASLP Summer Teaching Positions position at Cape Cod Collaborative?
ASLP is a two-week residential summer STEM program held on the campus of the Massachusetts
Maritime Academy in partnership with the Cape Cod Collaborative. The program is for high achieving
rising 7th and 8th graders from Cape Cod Public School Districts and several off-cape districts.
We have three Humanities class teaching positions are open:
1. Two section of “Improv” classes are open. Class size roughly 25 students max.
2. One section of “Intro to Movie Making” is open. Class size 25 students max.
3. Class time 12:45 to 2:30 pm (1:45 hrs.) for ten afternoon classes
4. Actual class dates are July 7th-July 12th and then July 14th – July 17th.
5. Compensation $240.00 per day for a max of $2400.00
6. Teaching experience preferred but experience working with young people may work
7. CORI check required
ASLP 2025 will be our 21st year of the program. This is a fun program, teachers are free to develop their
own class materials, however materials will be made available from the previous teachers. Of note, the
three teaching vacancies open are to fill position previously held by teachers who were with program
from the beginning- but are now retiring.
