Coordinates, direct and supervises patient care activities hospital wide. Maintains high visibility through clinical rounds. Makes rounds throughout shift. Maintains an appropriate staff to patient ratio. Participates in the assessment of staffing needs. Utilizes staffing guides along with observation to maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet patient cares. Works with Manager, Nursing Resources if necessary revisions are needed. Orients new supervisors. Assist with orientation when needed. Implements and interprets established policies and procedures, standards of performance, productivity performance improvement, safety, environmental, infection control, and other regulatory requirements if needed. Advises nursing managers of policy violations and initiates corrective action in collaboration with them or independently if necessary. Reports defective supplies and equipment. Report to Director Patient Care Services.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least two (2) years of charge nurse experience. Demonstrated leadership experience with all level of employees. Ability to complete projects within designated time periods. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative work relationships. Excellent PC skills. Intermediate proficiency in Excel including the ability to interpret spreadsheets. Professional demeanor and ability to multi-task. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, both process and quantitative. Team player with focus on collaborative decision-making.Required Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

• Associate's Degree Nursing
• Registered Nurse
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
• Evidence of continuing education in nursing /personnel administration, management skills, and presence of mandatory education programs.
