Pay: $$16.00/hr, with quarterly bonus pay!

Schedule: Week 1 Monday through Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm; Week 2 Wednesday off, Work Saturday

Job Description

Position

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for assisting the Quality Department with the inspection of incoming and outgoing product. This includes reporting any issues with quality to the appropriate department, conducting in-house inspections, photographing product, and inspecting product that is being produced to be sent to our customers. They will also assist with proper product rotation based on age, color, or product availability. Additional tasks will also be given to this position as needed which provides a variety of work that is both challenging and fun!

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high level of customer service; investigate and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality and communicate discoveries to Sales and Operations.
  • Adheres to established procedures or methods for inspection of products.
  • Takes quality concerns to Senior QC Specialist or QC Manager; can suspend packaging or loading until a decision is made.
  • Checks in before each shift with the Senior QC Specialist and QC Manager to understand daily concerns, issues and to plan work tasks
  • Reports to management on quality issues and trends.
  • Assists with the selection of product for staff to sort and pack, based on guidance from Senior QC Specialist or QC Manager
  • Assists as needed with inventory of products in coolers.
  • Provide quality control inspection activity for product throughout the receiving/packaging/storage processes.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Occupational Safety Procedures, and all Food Safety guidelines related to the position or being on the Warehouse floor.
  • Assists with the compliance of trace back, labeling, weights, and measures.
  • Completes in-house inspections, photographs product, enters data into our custom software system.
  • Will complete quality logs for each customer daily, working with supervisors to ensure that we are meeting customer specifications.
  • Operate Forklifts, Hand jacks, and Personal lifts - following proper training.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years of warehouse or industrial experience
  • Knowledge and ability to monitor the quality of produce
  • Ability to operate machinery following company training
  • Lift and carry weights ranging from 0 to 50 pounds with frequency*

*Anticipated hours per week: 40-45 (Hours are cyclical based on product demand and overtime may be required)

Additional Information

Schedule: Mon-Fri Wk 1; Wednesday off, Work Saturday Wk 2

Opportunities

Pay range starts at $15 to $16 per hour depending upon experience. Performance based bonus of 5-15% of base pay. There is a 401k plan with match and a company profit sharing contribution. Health insurance, life insurance, and dental insurance are also available along with PTO and paid holidays. Relocation assistance can be provided if applicable.
