What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk/Medical Assistant position at Cardiac Arrhythmia Associates?
-Cardiologist office and clinic seeking Front Desk Receptionist with some back office experience , appointment scheduling, patient check-in, authorizations, accurate billing, payment processing, supply chain, fax management, new patient referral coordinator, and forms management.
Back office duties require equipment management, environmental care functions, cleaning/disinfecting, taking ECGs, knowledge of sterile/aseptic technique.
Requires knowledge of medical terminology, procedures. Candidates must have initiative, ability to prioritize demands and ability to work in a busy team environment. MAs will use electronic medical record software for patient screening for medical issues, translation services (Bilingual English/Spanish), chart preparation.
Qualifications/duties
-EPIC/Cadense efficient -certified medical assistant -BLS and BART Certified (basic arrhythmia training certification) -ability to take initiatives and prioritize demands -In basket messaging skills/triage calls -Prior authorization/surgery scheduling knowledge -Experience in multi-specialty practice -Multi-Focused problem solver -Employs system-thinking principles and practical knowledge in clinic operations -Demonstrates flexibility to work in different areas with changing tasks and priorities, as well as interruptions -knowledge of medical records management -Maintains and monitors clinical studies patients, remote monitoring of cardiac patients and heart structural patients -diabetic perioperative management
