Join us in designing innovative equipment for the glass industry that creates a lasting impact. Our electrical engineers oversee every phase of control system design and programming. This project-based position is technically challenging and dynamic, with some travel involved.
Essential Functions:
Design Equipment to meet specifications and needs of customer.
- Participate in project teams to analyze design proposals, specifications and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of design or specifications.
- Research and evaluate electrical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements.
- Use software to write programs that operate machines.
Oversee and Support Equipment Production.
- Observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose the cause(s) and make recommendations and/or correct deficiencies.
- Serve as point of contact and provide technical direction to ensure equipment is installed and functioning according to specifications.
Continuously work to improve equipment.
- Collect and review equipment data to determine operating efficiency.
- Recommend design modifications to eliminate equipment or system malfunctions.
- Evaluate alternate designs and processing methods for feasibility, operating effects and necessity of modification.
