Cardiology Specialists of Acadiana is seeking a Practice Controller for our busy and growing practice. The Controller will contribute to the overall successof the organization by effectively managing all financial tasks, overseeingbudget, accounting, supply chain management, and patient billing andcollections. 

Job Responsibilities

Team Lead Requirements:

·Leads,trains and directs team.

· Monitorsproductivity and efficiency of team and workflows; addresses areas forimprovement.

·Evaluates& notifies CEO of issues with team.

·Conductsannual evaluations with each team member.

·Fostersan environment of responsiveness to facility needs; provides leadership.

·Maintainspositive and effective communication between team & management and/orphysicians.

·Partnerswith CEO in all employee administration issues

·Addressand coordinates issues with other departments to maintain efficiency

Position Requirements:

·Planning, directing and coordinatingall accounting operational functions

·Managing the accumulation andconsolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting ofconsolidated business results

·Coordinating and preparing internaland external financial statements

·Coordinating activities of externalauditors

·Providing management with informationvital to the decision-making process

·Managing the budget process

·Assessing current accountingoperations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing newprocesses

·Evaluating accounting and internalcontrol systems

·Evaluating the effectiveness ofaccounting software and supporting database, as needed

·Developing and monitoring businessperformance metrics

·Overseeing regulatory reporting,frequently including tax planning and compliance

·Hiring, training and retainingskilled accounting staff

·Performany other services deemed reasonable by physician or supervisor.

Qualifications

Educationand Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting orfinance. Master’s Degree in BusinessAdministration (MBA) or professional accreditation such as certified publicaccountant CPA) preferred. A minimum of fiveyears experience in accounting, preferably in medical clinic setting, or otherhealthcare setting.

Knowledge:Knowledgeof all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Knowledge and experience in modern operationalmethods inherent to a medical practice; clerical equipment, operations andprocesses; must have basic understanding of medical terms and abbreviations;possess thorough working knowledge of insurance and medical billing; usage ofcomputer systems; the mechanics of health insurance and PPO networks; variousmedical billing forms, reports and processing methods; patientconfidentiality/HIPAA regulations.

Abilities:Musthave solid communication, technology, analytical, and management skills. Mustdemonstrateexcellent attention todetail; is extremely trustworthy; be results driven; ability to workindependently and within a team; utilize telephone etiquette andprofessionalism; exhibit strong interpersonal skills; follow set routines andbe alert to variations to act accordingly; establish and maintain cooperativerelationships with staff members
