Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisted living, senior care, or direct support, with a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Help clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring as required.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Support clients in engaging with their communities through social activities and outings.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, or home care is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or memory care needs is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence and dignity.
