Westwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Statesboro, GA seeks a full-time Maintenance Director. We are a skilled nursing facility and would like for someone to join our team as a team player who enjoys fixing equipment, complying with regulatory safety standards, and overseeing the general appearance of the facility to include outdoor grounds.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Plan, develop, and direct the overall operation of a long-term care nursing center’s maintenance department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations.
• Perform regularly scheduled and as needed maintenance on air conditioners, heaters, laundry equipment, generators, and oxygen concentrators.
• Complete general maintenance such as plumbing repair, unplugging toilets, replacing broken pipes and water lines, and repairing washers and dryers.
• Perform general carpentry, paint interior and exterior walls, move furniture, replace electrical outlets and light bulbs, and maintain center’s grounds.

Requirements include but are not limited to the following:

* Be a high school graduate or its equivalent.

* Have two years of supervisory maintenance experience and a general knowledge of all trades to include electrical, plumbing, boiler, and mechanical areas.

* Embrace the standards, values, and beliefs of the organization.

* Possess ability to communicate effectively—both orally and in writing.

* Be capable of maintaining effective working relationships with residents, family members, staff, and fellow department heads.
