Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients in various settings.
Duties
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
- Prescribe and manage medications for psychiatric conditions
- Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care
- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with Psychiatric-Mental Health specialization
- Experience in acute care settings
- Proficiency in suturing and infectious disease care
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) usage
- Competence in medication administration and management
- Ability to conduct physical examinations independently
- Familiarity with medical office procedures
- Experience in assisted living or behavioral health settings
