Care One Pharmacy, based in Niles, Illinois is experiencing growth and we are currently hiring experienced Pharmacy Data Entry Technicians for the PM shift. Shifts are 1:30PM-10PM, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays, this is a full time ON SITE. retail or hospital and be highly adaptable to learning software programs and be familiar with Excel.

- Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry

- Entering prescriptions and verifying appropriate patient information.
- Excellent phone skills for incoming calls and for placing calls to our long-term care nurses.
- Providing top-notch customer service.
- Process refill and new prescriptions in a timely manner.
- Focus on quality assurance to correctly input physician orders and to prevent medication errors.
- Daily support to pharmacists.
- Utilize sound judgment to make appropriate decisions in the best interest of patients and the company.
- Restocks and organizes workstations to maintain a clean work environment.
- Reliability and flexibility with scheduling is required. Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent required,
- Current national or state pharmacy certification and State Board of Pharmacy registration required
- Comprehensive computer knowledge and skills required, comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, and drug knowledge with an emphasis on CII’s required, math with an emphasis on calculations, and analytical skills required.
- Basic medical records understanding desired.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience in Retail / Long Term Care Pharmacy
- 1-2 years’ experience Framework and ECM/DocuTrack preferred
- Certified; Illinois Pharmacy Technician License in good standing
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
- Must possess good mathematical skills.
- Be familiar with brand/generic names and general uses for medications.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret doctor’s orders.
- Familiarity with federal and State laws as they pertain to the pharmacy.
