Pharmacy Technician

The primary responsibility of a Pharmacy Technician is to help prepare and dispense medications, and we're looking for trustworthy professionals who can work quickly and effectively, maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace, and prioritize patient needs over all other considerations.

The Pharmacy Technician will prepare prescriptions for senior care residents under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Experience is desired, though willing to train the candidate who has the strengths of the team's core values: professionalism, doing it right, flexibility, and great work ethics. The pharmacy team will provide all required training on the job. Prescriptions are prepared in the pharmacy and then delivered twice daily to our contracted senior care facilities. The pharmacy extensively uses robotic technology and barcode scanning to maximize quality assurance and productivity. This is an opportunity in a fast-paced production environment, with a warm and family-oriented workforce.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications in accordance with established protocols.
• Provide patient care by ensuring accurate medication dispensing.
• Utilize aseptic techniques for preparing IV infusions and compounded medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient service and care.
• Support pharmacy operations by supporting other staff in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services.
