Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment organization, is currently seeking Middle School English Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year in Texas.
Essential Duties:
- Teach ELA, English at a 6-8 grade level
- Assume a share of supervisory responsibilities expected of all faculty members
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues on curriculum design and development
- Provide updates to parents about student progress, via both written reports and in-person conferences
- Make use of technological resources, including the school’s online learning management site for classes
- Hold students accountable for standards of behavior
- Work with others in the school community to support each student’s emotional well-being
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in English
- At least three years of teaching experience in English
- Ability to teach the full range of middle school or high school English courses
- Knowledge of trends in language instruction (particularly with the ACTFL standards)
- Experience and comfort with student-centered pedagogy and the integration of technology
- A reflective practitioner, committed to a continuous process of self-improvement, innovation and lifelong learning
- Ability to collaborate with others and to creatively solve problems
