As a Triage Nurse at Carolina Heart Specialists, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs and coordinating care within our cardiology practice. This position is essential in ensuring that our patients receive timely and effective cardiovascular care while supporting our mission to enhance heart health in the community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments to determine urgency of care needs.
- Monitor and document vital signs accurately during patient visits.
- Assist physicians with diagnostic evaluations and procedures as needed.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in cardiology or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and vital sign assessment.

- Experience with discharge planning processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems like Athenahealth is a plus.
