Position Summary
The Superintendent typically reports into a Senior or General Superintendent, Project Manager, Operations Manager and assists with the planning and daily execution of a construction project. They are responsible for maintaining certain or all aspects of the project, depending on project size and complexity, by managing subcontractor performance.

Project Financial Responsibilities
- Is aware of the overall project budget and assists project team in managing the entire budget.
- Fully aware and manages the items that CDCC Self Performs to successful completion within the Budget.
- Performs cost coding to comply with the project budget of items purchased or labor performed.
- Works in conjunction with other team members during project pursuits as required to evaluate a project and develop a plan for its successful completion.
- Participates in plan flips to establish scopes of work, subcontractor participation and developing an overall project schedule.
- Helps with the development of General Conditions for the project
- Performs or assists, as assigned, with all project start up items from the Project Start-up Checklist
- Performs the review and coordination of the Loss Prevention and Quality Control Program
- Full responsibility to develop and maintain a project schedule including periodic updates to status the project.
- Reacts appropriately and timely to schedule challenges and slippage including a work around plan, potential supplementation or resequencing of the work so to maintain a projects schedule.
- Helps evaluate the effects of project change directives on the schedule
- Overall responsibility for project Safety and Quality Control
- Fully capable of interpreting all contract documents and understanding the scope of work involved.
- Assists project team in the development of RFIs required to perform the work
- May be called upon to attend and participate in meetings with Architect/Engineer and owner representatives, provides information and assists the project team in the preparation of progress reports/meeting minutes
- Coordinates with others in CDCC to ensure all clarifications, changes, directives, RFIs, etc., are updated on the as-built drawings and are fully coordinated with company supervision and all subcontractor/suppliers
- Assists to make sure there is a plan to Close-out a project and that the field portion is executed.
- Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds expectations

- The majority of work completed on job sites. Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.
- The project team and/or team member may need to move to other geographic locations for projected work, if necessary.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Experienced level position with up to 4 years of Assistant Superintendent experience preferred, or 4 to 6 years of progressive construction related trade experience. Previous Carpentry position, Field Engineering or Assistant Superintendent position with a commercial construction company is desired.
