Who We Are
Casa de los Nios is one of the most established and well respected non-profit organizations in Tucson. We have been helping kids and healing families since 1973. Our services include parent education classes, Foster Care, Parents As Teachers, Behavioral Health, and Nurse-Family Partnership Program!
This position has a maximum of 20 hours per week on average.
As part of our commitment to attracting top talent, we are pleased to offer a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus. This bonus will be paid in two installments: $500 upon successful completion of the onboarding process, and an additional $500 after 90 days of continuous employment.
Job Summary
Become a key member of our security team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. This involves maintaining a visible presence, proactively preventing incidents, and responding effectively to any suspicious activity to ensure a secure environment for everyone.
Essential Duties:
- Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Contact law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
- Collaborate with team members for effective coverage and protection
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
- Perform first aid or CPR if necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience/Skills/Abilities:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Security guard training certification preferred
- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
- Experience in operating detection systems and emergency equipment required
- Surveillance skills and experience required
- Helpful and courteous behavior
- Proof of COVID vaccination.
- Must be able to meet training and organization requirements for the position

- Must possess or be able to qualify for and maintain a valid Arizona department of public safety level one fingerprint clearance card
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and be insurable under the organization's automobile policy
- Proficiency in communicating in Spanish preferred but not required
