What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kayak Instructor position at Cascade Raft & Kayak?

As a kayak instructor, you will teach whitewater kayaking skills, connect with a diverse group of guests, and coordinate a safe and fun time on the river.
New hires are provided with training that prepares them to teach Cascade Kayak Schools technique-based instructional program as well as necessary safety and rescue protocols. Applicants should be outgoing, hard-working and ready to spend a summer on the river. Prior experience, confidence and competence in kayaking at least class IV whitewater is expected.
In addition to building instructional experience, this position offers a fun and fast-paced environment as part of a cohesive and encouraging team of coworkers. A staff campground and meal plan are provided, as are opportunities for personal rafting and kayaking. The Cascade Raft & Kayak work experience offers opportunities for leadership, teamwork, confidence, fulfillment and fun found in few other workplaces.
Timeframe: mid-May through the end of August
Work commitment: full time
Pay rate: $90-$135 per day based on experience

Long summer days and continuously flowing rivers mean you can work a full day and still go kayaking afterwards.
