JOB DESCRIPTION – The Information Technology Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning, coordinating, and implementing corporate, grant, and department projects with the Catawba Nation according to the identified specifications, deadlines, and budgets. The IT Project Manager will lead and oversee the implementation of grant-funded initiatives designed to enhance citizen-facing programs for the Catawba Nation. This includes managing the Professional Development and Technology Training Course, providing internet support services, and distributing technology to youth and college students. The IT project manager will utilize project support software to track project progress and other tracking methods outlined by specific grant guidelines for project tracking. The project manager will work alongside both our helpdesk team and our senior level IT team members to make Catawba IT projects a success. The role requires ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This position is guaranteed via grant funding for the next 4 years through 2028. Additional grant funding will be applied for to continue this position beyond this 4 year period. This position is responsible to and subject to the CIN Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.
· Develop and manage detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, budgets, resource plans, risk identification and mitigation plan as well as monthly reports and overall KPIs for Technical Programs.
· Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
· Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
· Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
· Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion
· Assembling and coordinating project team members; assigning individual responsibilities
· Manage multiple competing cross-functional IT projects/programs simultaneously.
· Will work towards Six Sigma or PMI/PMP Certification if not already obtained
· Always maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism.
· Assist Gaming Device Technician and Gaming Auditors when necessary.
· Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Associate degree, or 3 years of project management experience, or 3 years of IT experience with a focus on Process Management and Project/Program Management, or the equivalent
· Must have a valid driver’s license
· Must be able to hold a gaming license
· Must be CJIS certified within 30 days of employment
· Outstanding troubleshooting skills
· Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making
· Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Critical-thinker and problem-solver
· Must undergo a State and National Criminal Background Investigation completed under the rules promulgated by the FBI Criminal Justice Information System and the State of South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. The employee will also be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; bend to open/use lower drawers or cabinetry; to talk, hear, and see. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
