JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of professional counseling and domestic abuse educational services to victims of domestic abuse who have experienced sexual abuse/assault and trauma. These services are provided in groups and individual counseling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Hotline Screenings:
- Assist with hotline screenings, as needed, from the Outreach office.
- Screen hotline callers for history of domestic violence and refer potential clients to the TREE Program for intake assessment.
Intake:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to address the sexual abuse/assault and trauma experienced by victims of domestic violence.
- Develop a treatment plan focusing on goals to address trauma symptoms and education on the dynamics of domestic abuse mutually identified by clients and clinician.
Clinical Services:
- Provide individual, family and group counseling to clients who have experienced trauma, including education and prevention services.
- Maintain communication with clients, including outreach for hard to engage clients.
Documentation:
- Clinical documentation should include: assessments, treatment plans and progress notes.
- Write summaries and prepare statistics for quarterly and annual grant reporting.
Case Management:
- Case management services are to be provided as needed and may include preparation of reports for external entities, community linkages, assistance in obtaining benefits and entitlements, referral and other client advocacy services.

MANDATED PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Providence House is a 24-hour residential program, and as such requires staffing at all times. When accepting a position with this agency it is important to know that the regular shift at the time of hiring is subject to change during the course of your employment and that at times of staff emergencies or special events you may be required to fill shifts other than (instead of) your regular shift. This may include holidays.
