Position Objective
The Program Manager for Social Butterflies will provide direct oversight for all Social Butterflies services, which provides child-development and social-emotional services for Jackson County children between 1-5 years old and their families. This program is funded my Jackson County Children’s Service Fund.
This role is a full-time, non-exempt, hybrid remote position located at 8001 Longview Rd., Kansas City, MO 64134. We work a 38-hour work week, Monday - Thursday from 8am -5:30pm and we are closed on Fridays. This position is eligible for full time benefits.
Essential Duties
Stewardship
- Direct supervision of Social Butterflies staff, delegating work and responsibilities to them as necessary and appropriate. Responsible for hiring, training, and maintenance of program staff, individual and team supervision as needed, oversight and delegation of work. Performs initial 90-day evaluations as well as annual evaluations with recommendation of salary and/or job description changes relevant to the personnel of this area. Maintains ongoing documentation of employee performance, implementing disciplinary action if necessary.
- Maintain clinical oversight of program services. Develops and maintains tracking controls for staff caseloads and responsibilities and provides tracking to director, when requested, on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for development of programming for expansion of services.
- Have a good understanding of child development, social-emotional development, and parenting education. The program utilizes Ages and Stages SE:2 for screening, activities, and curriculum.
- Help with the submission of grants and grant reports in coordination with the director and grants team as well as grant implementation and management. Ensure all reports are in compliance with funding resources agency wide.
- Ensure you and staff follows all procedures and complete forms/ETO data entry as required and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that case files are readily available Performance Quality Improvement reviews; make files available for external reviews and audits, as necessary.
- Implement corrective action as a result of non-compliance, if any.
- Ensure licensing, accreditation and contract standards are carried out within the identified budgetary outcomes.
- Maintenance and management of statistical outcome data as it pertains to funding sources and agency requirements.
- Conduct community outreach for the purpose of program growth, program sustainability, resource referrals, and partnerships.
- Support the Children and Family department on any additional departmental needs, as assigned by Director.
Teamwork and Collaboration
- Schedule and facilitate quarterly PQI meetings.
- Schedule and facilitate program staff meetings.
- Assist in leading and actively participate in quarterly department meetings.
- Develop, implement, and maintain positive working environment for program staff.
- Work closely with marketing department for the purposes of program marketing and/or support.
Commitment to Customers
- Participate in agency morning meetings and management meetings (as scheduled).
- Have an active role in community engagement and program outreach to educate the community on our department and programming.
- Actively assist with clients in our Welcome Center.
Leadership and Management
- Ensures that staff follow the Catholic Social and Moral Teachings in all aspects of their positions.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Must have a master’s degree in social work or a human service area of study OR a bachelor’s degree in social work or a human service area of study
- Possess a minimum combined total of five years of experience in at least three of the following.
- Early Childhood Development
- Mental and/or Behavioral Health
- Social Work
- Case Management
