OVERVIEW
Oversees Migration and Refugee Services program. Responsible for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), State, and Federal components of the Migration and Refugee Services Program and maintaining necessary case records and client file documentation. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Recruits, hires, orients, trains, and supervises staff in the program.
- Supervises the maintenance of all financial records, budget controls, and internal record keeping, and signs financial documents required for the program.
- Monitors the workload of all program staff.
- Monitors compliance with all grant requirements.
- In coordination with the Associate Director, prepares annual budgets required by all grants and cooperative agreements.
- Performs monthly monitoring of all program expenditures of the program.
- Prepares reports required by USCCB, State, and Federal funding agencies.
- Supports staff in sponsoring volunteer orientations and educating the community about the refugee population.
- Prepares requests for proposals, including relevant budgets.
- Represents the Agency on appropriate local and state boards and other job-related meetings.
- May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position and will be considered by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
- Bachelor's Degree in management, social services, or related field
- 2 years of experience in social services
- 2 years of experience in supervising employees
- 2 years of experience with budget and financial management in a non-profit setting
- Work experience in a multicultural setting
- Knowledge of refugee resettlement and/or social service programs
- Excellent data entry skills (speed and accuracy)
- Proven skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and strategic thinking skills
- Proven strong communication skills - oral and written are clear, concise, and in an organized fashion using appropriate style, grammar, and tone
REGULATORY
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver license, proof of insurance, and 39-month motor vehicle report
- Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI National Criminal Records History Report (employer paid)
- Pass pre-employment drug screen (incudes marijuana, regardless of recreational use laws) (employer paid)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in management, social services, or related field
- Additional years of directly-related experience
- Multilingual, verbal and written
