Powers Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Girls Soccer Coach to lead our program. Girls soccer is a spring sport, requiring a daily commitment from March to June, along with pre-season winter workouts starting in February. This is an opportunity to shape young athletes and foster their growth both on and off the field.

Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Communication:
- Effectively communicate with athletes, parents, and coaching staff.
- Provide mentorship, fostering discipline, sportsmanship, and self-esteem in student-athletes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the educational mission of Powers Catholic High School
- Observe students during practice and at games at all times while managing student behavior and safety during and after all activities
- Works to form young people, help them come to know and love Jesus & to be ready and able to share the good news of the Gospel
- Positively promote and represent Powers Catholic and uphold the proud Powers Catholic tradition in his/her time as a coach of the school
- Program Development:
- Organize and implement a successful soccer program.
- Plan and lead practice sessions to enhance development of student’s physical attributes and social skills
- Organize team building activities including but not limited to Community Service Projects and attending mass as a team
- Provide skill development and create opportunities for the youth partner programs
- Understands, explains and enforces safety rules and regulations
- Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
- Overseeing the safety conditions of the facility/area in which assigned activity/event is conducted at all times especially when students are present
Minimum Qualifications:
- Soccer coaching experience preferred
- Understanding of the game’s rules and regulations
- Basic Background Check will be conducted
- Complete Diocese of Lansing Virtus Training upon hire
- Must maintain a current CPR certification
