Purpose
Divine Redeemer Parish seeks a part time (~20 hours) Associate Director of Music. The Associate Director works with the Pastor and the Director of Music and Liturgy in supporting the parish’s worship through music. This includes playing and singing for liturgies and rehearsals as well as various administrative duties. It also includes collaborating with other parish departments to support the parish’s pastoral plan.

Purpose
Divine Redeemer Parish seeks a part time (~20 hours) Associate Director of Music. The Associate Director works with the Pastor and the Director of Music and Liturgy in supporting the parish’s worship through music. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide organ and piano accompaniment for 3 weekend liturgies and occasional holy day liturgies.
- Assist the Director of Music and Liturgy in organizational and maintenance duties.
- Accompany and assist with choir rehearsals.
- Schedule and distribute music to cantors for weekend liturgies.
- Accompany and cantor wedding and funeral liturgies as available.
- Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Keyboard proficiency (collaborative organ and piano).
- 2 years’ experience in a parish music program.
- Basic conducting skills.
- Working knowledge of Catholic teaching/documents on liturgy and music (e.g. Sacrosanctum Concilium, Musicam Sacram, Sing to the Lord)
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Pursuant to the Diocesan Safe Environment Policy, criminal background checks and training must be completed by all Church Personnel prior to commencing employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Music degree, American Guild of Organists Colleague, or equivalent certification.
- Working knowledge of Gregorian chant and contemporary praise music.
- Familiarity with music engraving software (e.g. Dorico, MuseScore Studio, Sibelius).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
