What You'll Do:
- Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary preparations are completed.
- Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and relevant information before appointments.
- Administer medications and vaccinations under provider direction and in accordance with practice guidelines.
- Conduct various diagnostic tests (e.g., hearing, vision, EKG) and accurately document results.
- Monitor patients during and after procedures, responding effectively to any complications or emergencies.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintain cleanliness in clinical areas, and ensure proper handling of lab samples.
- Schedule appointments and follow-up procedures as necessary, while maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and assist in the training of new staff members.

What You'll Bring:
- Graduation from an approved Medical Assistant program.
- One year of related work experience in a medical office setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA
- CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification required within one year of hire if hired after 2012.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with patients and team members.
- Proficiency in electronic clinical documentation systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
