What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Provider: 0-5 Years Old position at Catonsville Presbyterian Church?
Overview
Catonsville Presbyterian Church is seeking a Childcare Provider to work on Sunday mornings, caring for children aged infant through five years old. The number of children in attendance varies weekly, but usually ranges from four to ten. There will be an adult volunteer from the congregation to assist each week, but we are looking for someone who can provide consistency and loving care for our children.
Specific Duties:
1. Supervise, provide care for, and interact with the children until the church service has ended and each child has been picked up by the parents.
2. Build relationships with parents as they drop off and pick up their child. Take extra care and time in aiding new families with the process so that they feel at home at CPC.
3. Develop a working relationship with the adult and teen volunteers. Affirm the importance of volunteers in the child care ministry.
4. Make sure the classroom is put back in order & infant toys are sanitized before leaving. This can be done with the help of the children and adult volunteer
5.. Maintain open and frequent communication with the Christian Education Committee about current needs and other issues that need to be resolved.
6. Be available to provide childcare for special events, when possible.
Requirements:
A love of children and a minimum of one year of experience working in a child care center, nursery school, elementary school, or similar institution. First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
A criminal background check will be required prior to hire.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
