The Belting Service Technician II is part of a team that fabricates and installs conveyor belting and components both in the shop at CBT and on site at the customer.
Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of duties associated with the fabrication, modification, repair or installation of lightweight belts and components to customer specifications. Work may be performed on site or at customer location.
• Follow all safety protocols, policies, and procedures (CBT’s as well as Customer specific procedures)
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring the accuracy of belting inventory
• Accurately perform assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
• Interact with customers in a professional manner
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
• Represent CBT in a professional manner at all times
Requirements
Requirements:
- Must have a stable work history, no more than two jobs within the past three years preferred
- Two years of maintenance experience preferred
- Must be dependable and able to work flexible shift schedule (on call when necessary)
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Overtime hours and weekend work is required
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Critical Skills:
- Prior experience operating forklifts and Aerial lifts.
- Mechanical Aptitude with strong background.
- Ability to interpret and verify precise measurements using a tape measure.
- Proficient in basic mathematics.
- Adapt to changing situations.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Self-motivated.
- Safety focused.
- Ability to work at heights and tight spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Working Environment:
- The Belting Technician generally performs duties in a belt shop setting. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally. Often exposure to different environments while visiting customer’s facilities which may include contaminants, hazardous situations, bright or dim lighting conditions, noise and sound levels that may sometimes be distracting or uncomfortable. Works close to others.
Job Type:
- Full Time M-F 7:30am-4:00pm
- Overtime/weekends as required
