What you’ll do:
This role assists with daily operations of specific Cedar Lake Residences’ (CLR) residential options, as well as for providing services to individuals living in the home. Resident support and assistance will be based on individual need. This role must function as a member of the CLR team and as such may provide supplementary assistance to any individual served by CLR.
- Assists with day-to-day operations including physical maintenance, housekeeping, resident schedules, and transportation. In collaboration with the Director, Assistant Director, Supervisor assists with financial management, including budgeting and purchasing. Provides back up for Supervisor and/or other Residential Coordinators as required.
- Provide support and supervision to CLR Residential Direct Support Professionals. Establishes and oversees daily functions of employees in assigned home and/or cluster, provides input to the Assistant Director for corrective actions and employee evaluations. Assists in the onboarding, training, and development of employees.
- Ensures regulatory compliance and adherence to company policy and procedure. Maintains and monitors appropriate documentation and records. Operates within state regulations and established CLR standards.
- Participates in the development of individual goals with supported individuals. Encourages implementation of goals with the objective of increasing self-reliance and independence. Coordinates with case managers, job coaches or employers and families.
- Encourages community participation and facilitates cultivation of friendships. Provides guidance and direction on social and judgement issues, health, and safety issues.
- Encourages and assists residents in exercising their rights. Implements constructive/innovative way to respond to conflict and develops strategies for resolution in which all parties can benefit.
- Coaches’ residents on daily living skills, self-administration of medications, personal hygiene and personal financial responsibilities as necessary. Maintains required documentation which reflects progress and concerns regarding residents.
- Works collaboratively with residents and parents/guardians regarding resident status and benefit coordination.
- Serves in an on-call rotation for Cedar Lake Residences ensuring adequate staffing coverage to meet the needs of individuals supported by CLR.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What sets you apart:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
- Valid Indiana or Kentucky driver’s license is required.
- Experience working with individuals with IDD is preferred.
What your typical schedule looks like:
- Full-time, hourly. May include occasional weekends and evenings to meet resident/family and facility needs. May include on-call rotation.
