Position: Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent
Location: Cedar Ridge School District
Contract: 240 Days (12-Month)
Overview:
The Cedar Ridge School District is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Superintendent. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency with office equipment, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask while maintaining strict confidentiality. This position requires attendance at monthly School Board meetings to record minutes.
Reports To: Superintendent
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Management: Greet and assist visitors, students, parents, and staff in a professional manner.
- Communication: Answer and manage phone calls for the district, screen calls for the Superintendent, and respond to inquiries from staff, parents, students, and the public.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare and distribute reports, correspondence, and documents as needed.
- Maintain accurate and updated files of general correspondence and business records.
- Schedule and arrange meetings for the administration.
- Process and maintain records for home-school and school choice applications.
- Assist employees with license renewals and background checks.
- Perform data entry for reports, including the Civil Rights Data Collection.
- Compile and manage personnel data and prepare requested reports.
- Attend and take minutes at monthly School Board meetings.
- Places ads/postings for the recruitment of personnel as requested.
- Prepares outgoing mail, sorts and distributes incoming mail.
- keeps district in compliance with labor laws
- maintains insurance and registration of all district vehicles.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment.
