Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients in an inpatient setting.
- Diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders, and more.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and therapists, to ensure holistic care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and mental health management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Jersey, CDS, and DEA.
- Board certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP-BC).
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric care preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts as needed.
