Summary:
Reporting to the Director of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Child Resilience Center, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Child Resilience Center Coordinator provides direct support for the DHH Child Resilience Center, including supervision and evaluation of identified team, oversight of projects, support for dissemination of findings and projects through presentations and publications, and assists with identifying and applying for new funding opportunities.
Job Description:
  • Supervises, mentors, and evaluates the team, providing guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations to ensure a productive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversees identified center projects from initiation to completion, including developing work plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinates and engages in dissemination activities to promote center products and project findings, including organizing and participating in workshops, training, presentations, and publishing peer-reviewed papers.
  • Assists with the development of center operating protocols to support consistency in project operations.
  • Assists the Director with identifying and applying for new funding opportunities.
  • Assists the Program Evaluator on project monitoring and performance data collection.
  • Assists the Director in coordinating staffing needs.
  • Supports the director in staffing and budgeting decisions.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive and supportive working relationship with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Demonstrates a genuine commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and participates in activities and workshops to foster continuous learning.
  • Serves as a mandatory reporter under Title IX; and commits to completing Title IX training and other compliance requirements on an annual basis.
  • Prioritizes safety in the workplace as a collective responsibility for the well-being of employees and fosters a culture of safety that is integral to our success, including strict adherence to safety procedures and protocols, as well as promptly reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
  • Performs related and other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience with research activities, project management, or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A doctoral degree.
  • Supervision experience.
  • Experience with data collection, data management, and data analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of psychological test development and assessment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with working in a research lab.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and across University departments, outside constituents, and groups.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Additional Position Details:
  • This is a grant-funded position.
  • This is a part-time (20 hours per week) position.
  • The successful candidates must be license-eligible or have a license upon employment.
