Your role as an Application /EHR Trainer – Information Technology AEDE Dept:
The Application /EHR Trainer is responsible for conducting general training sessions with users, new and current, as needed. The position also develops and continuously updates training materials for various training sessions (Orientation, Advanced, Refresher classes, Helpful Hints, Frequently Asked Questions) as it relates to new programs/implementations.
- Develop and continuously update training materials for various training sessions (Orientation, Advanced, Refresher classes, Helpful Hints, Frequently Asked Questions).
- Conduct general training sessions with users, new and current, as needed.
- Create schedule of training courses & conduct those trainings to increase all departments use and satisfaction in the EHR
- Assist in system administration development and customization in Test environment.
- Maintain knowledge of standard configurations.
- Conduct observations of users in their environment to identify areas for improvement and suggestions for work-flow redesign.
- Create reoccurring schedule to make sure all departments in all facilities have training with the EHR.
- Manage tasks to support implementations and upgrades.
- Participate in project meetings.
- Provide notes to project meetings participants.
- Track tasks and maintain project materials. Monitors various processes and functionality in the EHR and route issues to appropriate parties.
- Assists with application upgrades, upgrade testing and management of support issues that may result from upgrades/projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRMENTS:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting (clinical background a plus).
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience using and/or supporting myEvolv/Epic/Athenahealth EMR\UKG systems.
- Hands on experience with medical chart and related paperwork.
- Hands on experience with EMR based charge capture preferred.
- Hands on experience with scheduling and registration.
- Experience with the medical billing process is a plus.
- Experience with CBHC practices is a plus.
- Ability to pass a CORI and driving record background check
