What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Associate position at Center for New Americans?
Center for New Americans seeks an experienced communications professional for a part-time position at 10 hours per week year-round.
The Communications Associate will work with the Executive Director on such initiatives as developing strategic and consistent messaging across all content channels, including social media and our website; creating a monthly communications calendar; and assisting with other written communication as needed, such as to support events.
Successful candidates will have the following experience/qualifications:
- Experience with graphic creation using Canva, Affinity Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, or equivalent
- Proficiency in WordPress content management
- Excellent writing skills to provide consistency of voice and clarity of message
- Understanding of current social media practices, guidelines, and trends, especially for Instagram and LinkedIn
- Experience with Customer Experience or User Experience design practices is a plus
