What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant/Scribe position at Center For Vascular Medicine?
Medical Scribe will assist the physician or advanced practice provider throughout their shift. The primary goal of a Medical Scribe is to increase the productivity of the provider so that he/she can focus on attending to the patient
· Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician/provider to include patient medical history and exam, and treatments performed
· Complete provider dictated diagnoses, prescriptions and instructions for patient or family members for self-care and follow-up
· Ensure all clinical data, lab, or other test results, the interpretation of the results by the physician are recorded accurately in the medical record.
· All other duties as assigned
· Proficient in typing and good at spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
· Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to the extent required.
· Must be able to listen to complex medical information and summarize in a clear, complete, and concise fashion
· Ability to anticipate physician/provider needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic
**This is a travel position with paid mileage. Travel will be required to locations within the Maryland Region to include: Glen Burnie, Annapolis, Waldorf, and Prince Frederick.**
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
