POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation and presentation of food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established dining activities and procedures. Responsible for appropriate use of facility, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for creation of the unique dining experience to serve the customers and employees of Central Bank of Boone County and affiliated organizations. Manages and responsible for supervision of the service staff, staffing as needed for functions and events.
DUTIES, SCOPE, RESPONSIBLIITIES & AUTHORITY:
Supports mission, vision and values of Central Bank of Boone County and its affiliates. Plans, prepares and presents dishes which are representative of our organization and culture. Responsible for accommodating requests and dietary restrictions. Manages service staff. Supports and implements specific procedures and programs for safety, including safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security. Reports and corrects unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs. Maintains confidentiality of all information and data. Responsible for quality assurance and compliance with all food service regulatory requirements. Follows up as appropriate regarding reported complaints, problems or concerns. Prepares all food following special diet orders as needed. Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved. Works with vendors to buy appropriate supplies and food. Maintains daily production records for ordering as needed. Keeps work area neat and clean at all times, maintaining equipment used for food preparation. Cooperates, supports and works with all co-workers. Plans and completes job duties with minimal supervisory direction. Prepares and serves food for special functions as needed. Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.
Requirements:
Prior successful head chef experience in food preparation, cooking and service is required. Must be proficient in communication skills including reading and writing as well as interpersonal relations with management, co-workers and customers. Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. Must have manual dexterity. Must have visual ability and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
