CBS is currently seeking a candidate for a Quarry Plant Manager position for multiple plants. The primary responsibility of the Quarry Plant Manager is to oversee the daily operations of crushing plants and mobile equipment in an effort to maintain consistent and maximum performance, production and profitability. The Quarry Plant Manager has supervisory responsibilities over production team members. In this position, you will report directly to the General Manager.
Quarry Plant Manager – Major Responsibilities Include:
· Follow and enforce Mine Safety and Health Administration rules and regulations, working in tandem with the company Safety Director.
· Comply with DEP regulations and assist inspectors with facility inspections
· Maintain accurate records of daily production of materials and equipment maintenance.
· Ensure all equipment at the plants is properly maintained and ready for operation at the start of each scheduled production shift
· Oversees annual preventative maintenance and major equipment repairs
· Work closely with dispatch center to provide details regarding product availability.
· Facilitates daily Toolbox/JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) meetings.
· Maintain positive relations with site neighbors.
· Handles customer service issues.
· Reviews and approves employee time cards, enters vacation and 'no pay' days.
· Maintain general cleanup and appearance of facility.
· Enforce safety procedures with training and observation to ensure that safety policies and procedures are met consistently.
The Ideal Quarry Superintendent Candidate Will Have:
· Minimum of 5 years of general mine/quarry experience.
- Possess first-hand practical experience in quarry operations including, but not limited to, dredging, crushing, and de-watering.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and possess knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance.
- Capable of building professional relationships with leaders and external networks.
- Excellent customer service.
- Able to collaborate and communicate across the business.
- Positive attitude and willingness to grow and learn

- Valid driver's license and can meet safe driving standards.
- Excellent communication skills – listening, verbal, written (report writing), and presentation.
