Position Overview:
As a Project Manager at Central City Millworks, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of millwork projects from start to finish. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, contractors, design teams, and our production staff to ensure that every project meets specifications, timelines, and budgets. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, experienced in managing multiple projects, and have a strong background in the millwork or construction industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage millwork projects from initial planning and design through to final installation.
- Work with clients, architects, and contractors to understand project scope, timelines, and requirements.
- Create detailed project schedules, track progress, and adjust plans as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Oversee the preparation and review of project estimates, including labor, material, and overhead costs.
- Coordinate and supervise production schedules with the shop team to ensure on-time delivery of millwork products.
- Conduct site visits, manage installations, and ensure quality control at all stages of the project.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure that project budgets align with initial estimates.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and resolve any issues or changes that arise during the project.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittals.
- Ensure that projects comply with safety standards and building codes.
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to procure materials and services required for the project.
- Review and approve project invoices and monitor payments to ensure financial control.
- Assume leadership of multiple projects from handoff to closeout
- Analyze project scope, set timelines and schedules for submittals, fabrication, & installation
- Communicate directly with Contractors, Architects, Owners, Vendors, & Subcontractors
- Verify field conditions and measurements and coordinate with other trades
- Review subcontractor invoicing and draft pay applications
- Determine material takeoffs such as plywood, laminate, upholstery, & hardware
- Formulate RFI's and Change Orders
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the millwork, construction, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of millwork products, production processes, and installation techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project, Planswift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing project needs and timelines.
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in millwork or a similar field.
- Leadership experience with a team-oriented attitude.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 48 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
