What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Nursing (DON) position at Central Health Management?
Central Health Management is seeking a qualified Director of Nursing for a full-time salaried and benefited role in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area. This opportunity has bonus opportunities and exceptional benefits.
Previous experience in a Director or Assistant Director of Nursing in a post-acute care setting is essential. Demonstrated leadership, compassion, and dedication are key to success in this role.
As the DON, you will be responsible for:
- Directing the nursing program, including implementing new policies and procedures when necessary
- Serving as a clinical liaison between medical staff and building adminstration,
- Overseeing hiring, firing, and development of nursing staff
- Communicating with families, residents, and physicians as needed
- Providing input on policies and procedures
- Participating in creating resident care plans and ensuring they are followed
- Ensuring the nursing unit is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
For consideration, you must have the following Qualifications:
- Registered Nursing license in the state of Ohio in good standing
- Ability to successfully pass a state of Ohio State police background check
- Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing in a post-acute care setting
- Leadership traits enduring staff and administration to focus on patient safety, comfort and care
- Bachelor's of Nursing from an accredited Nursing program
- Vaccinated for Covid 19 and Flu viruses
- Ability to teach and serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff
