Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing. Recent clinical experience required.
- Unencumbered Ohio RN license and a minimum of two years full-time working as a register nurse required; broad experience in medical surgical nursing required.
- Must possess broad base of clinical experience with significant work in a medical-surgical clinical environment.
- Strong team-building and interpersonal skills and a willingness to implement a learner-centered approach to the teaching process.
- Willingness to use technology to facilitate student learning
- Successful completion of a background check and a drug screen are required.
- Demonstrated in depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught.
- Proficient in oral and written communication in the language in which assigned courses will be taught.
- Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff.
- Belief in and concern for community service.
- High ethical and moral character.
- Proficiency with email.
- Willingness to teach in a variety of instructional delivery modes including the use of instructional technologies and online learning management systems.
