What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Technician position at CENTRAL SOLUTIONS INC?
The Manufacturing Technician (MFG) or 'Batch Maker' is responsible to perform all phases of product blending for all approved products manufactured at the site. Responsibilities include all aspects of working in a GMP environment. The position works under exacting standards of precision, safety, and productivity while under minimal supervision.
Essential Job Duties:
- Responsible for the manufacturing of all formulations including products for direct transfer to filling lines, as well as, pilot batches to support R & D efforts.
- Capable of operating blending equipment in a safe and efficient manner to maintain quality through adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Participate in root cause assessments of all safety, product/process, quality, and productivity issues and customer complaints, as appropriate, ensuring that effective corrective action is identified and implemented to meet objectives.
- Provide training and mentoring to other operators/associates including new hires.
- Handle product and equipment to meet predetermined quality standards.
- Know all applicable SOPs and be certified on using assigned equipment.
- Maintain high level of housekeeping in the area.
- Communicate fully with everyone. Be informative and objective. Communicate in a way that is timely, complete, candid, accurate, and clear.
- Contribute to an environment where all team members are respected regardless of their individual difference and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve business results.
- Work with equipment respecting guards and personal safety equipment.
- Work within the confines of the PCS and the batch ticket.
- Properly document all activities as outlined on the PCS and in SOPs.
- Suggest alternatives and improvements when possible.
- Assist with all duties associated with proper receipt and record-keeping of raw materials.
- Maintain raw materials by using first-in, first-out methodology.
- Notify management of materials approaching expiration dating.
- Track proper use of materials by maintaining materials record sheets.
- Use proper equipment for material additions that will allow for correct quantities, and minimal waste.
- Conduct periodic cycle counts of raw materials.
- Rotate batch assignments as abilities allow ensuring all personnel `share the work load and cross train as necessary to be able to manufacture all products.
- Recommend improved procedures for productivity and safety in the area.
- Assist in other plant areas as required by department management.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Wear PPE as necessary outlined in the PCS and in SOPs.
- Maintain good personal hygiene. Wear designated uniform maintained in good condition.
- Perform overtime work as required to meet area and plant goals.
Minimum Requirements for the position:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in mathematics.
- Good penmanship.
- High degree of accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably and ability to stand for the majority of the shift.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
