Job Summary

Job Description

• Bioburden panel testing.
• Total plate count, Total combined yeast and mold count, enrichment testing.
• Test for specific microorganisms (pathogens).
• Media growth promotion testing.
• Microbiological examination of water.
• Environmental monitoring of air, equipment, and surfaces.
• Microscopic examination and identification.
• Water conductivity.
• Familiarity with the following microbial techniques : membrane filtration, pour plating, streaking.
• Plate reading. And apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
• Use the autoclave to sanitize consumables and biohazardous waste.
• Maintain proper lab 5S, routinely check lab inventory and report expendable supplies / materials needed for testing requirements.
• Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning, sanitizing, and trash disposal.
• Perform quality control monitoring by taking incubator temperatures, inoculating control organisms, running media controls, etc.
• Perform all activities in a neat, safe, hygienic, and efficient manner.
• Back up to other analysts.
• Properly document and record all information.
• Familiarity with lab ware. Familiarity of proper GDP and GMP.
