What Will You Do at Chalfant?
The Logistics Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving and storage of inventory, order processing, and shipping. They are accountable for managing and supervising warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring a safe and clean working environment, and meeting the company's productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Manage and oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods, and ensuring that all processes are efficient and accurate.
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and assigning tasks to ensure efficient and effective utilization of resources.
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive working environment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inventory control procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventory levels.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities, including compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics and develop plans for improvement to meet company goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments, including purchasing and logistics, to ensure that inventory levels are optimized and that products are delivered on time.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and laws pertaining to warehouse operations, including health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar position, with a track record of successfully managing warehouse operations and staff.
- Knowledge of inventory management and control systems, as well as experience with warehouse management software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures, as well as experience implementing and enforcing safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
