What are the responsibilities and job description for the RTS Relief Driver position at Chambers Bottling Company L L C?
The Relief Drivers primary function is to deliver fresh, quality Coca-Cola products to vending machines such drinks, cold food, snacks. As a relief driver, they will deliver products to small businesses. The relief driver will be in training and/or servicing established routes during vacancies.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for checking inventory levels on truck against customer invoices
- Responsible for operating a Non-CDL 8 Bay Delivery Truck
- Must be able to safely and correctly operate a company vehicle under all types of circumstances, including intercity travel and maneuvering in the close confines of customer facilities
- Responsible for collecting money, making change & recording transactions
- Ability to resolve customer issues with courtesy and sound customer service skills
- Maintain inventory levels and stock a high volume of product in soft drink vending machines
- Ability to service multiple customers throughout the day
- Subject to working outdoors in the elements (high/low temperatures, rain, sleet, snow etc.)
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of general work experience
- Ability to repetitively lift, pull, and push 50 lbs.; bend over, reach above head height and kneeling
- Work with minimal supervision; be a self-starter, team player and have the motivation to learn
- Be reliable, honest & trustworthy
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Operate and maneuver a pallet jack with a weight load of approximately 2500 lbs.
- Valid drivers license and excellent driving record are required
PreferredExperience:
- Local delivery experience preferred and/or 6 months of verifiable drivingexperience
- Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience aplus
