Warehouse and Sales Associate

Champion Fasteners, Inc., a leader in fastener and industrial supply, is seeking a versatile Warehouse and Sales Associate to join our team in Elmira, NY. This role combines essential warehouse operations with front-line customer service in our retail environment, offering a dynamic and hands-on opportunity for individuals who enjoy both inventory management and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations:

• Efficiently handle all aspects of shipping and receiving, including checking in deliveries, preparing orders for shipment, and organizing materials in the warehouse.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counting and documentation, reporting discrepancies to management as needed.
• Oversee product merchandising and ensure stock is properly displayed, labeled, and restocked promptly.
• Use the ERP system (INxSQL) to track inventory levels, update stock information, and assist with reordering processes.
• Ensure a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety standards at all times.

Customer Service:

• Greet and assist customers at the point of sale, providing knowledgeable recommendations and solutions to meet their fastener and industrial supply needs.
• Manage transactions, process sales orders, and ensure customer satisfaction through efficient order fulfillment and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with the inside sales team to address customer inquiries and fulfill special orders.
• Stay informed about product lines, promotions, and stock levels to offer the best possible service to customers.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing and setting up merchandise displays in both the retail and warehouse areas.
• Work with the procurement team to identify fast-moving items and ensure timely restocking.
• Support occasional delivery of products to local customers as needed.
• Report directly to the Store Manager.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory management, or retail setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with fasteners, industrial supplies, or related industries is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, with experience in INxSQL or similar software being advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license is required for occasional deliveries.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Able to adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Proficient with computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
