Set up new equipment and maintain, diagnose, and repair consumer and small engine equipment such as small tractors, mowers, chain saws, and related equipment.

St. Albans, Vermont

Tasks

• Set up new equipment for product display or sale to consumers.   
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and servicing.
• Obtain problem descriptions from customers and prepare cost estimates for repairs.
• Test and inspect the unit to determine malfunctions, to locate missing and broken parts, and to verify repairs, using diagnostic instruments.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used with proper documentation.
