Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of long-term care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by delivering personalized care and fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring that residents' rights are respected at all times. Monday-Thursday 7pm to 9pm
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support residents with mobility and physical activities to enhance their independence.
- Monitor and document changes in residents' health status and report any concerns to the office staff.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, focusing on memory care and dementia support.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all clients.
- Uphold client rights by promoting dignity, respect, and privacy in all interactions.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. (not just watching TV)
- Requirements
- Previous experience in long-term care or as a caregiver is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and patient observation techniques is highly desirable.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding them.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the caregiving environment.
- Certification in CPR or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring. (we will pay if you don't have it from an accredited company)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to follow care plans accurately while being attentive to individual needs.
