Chapman Collision Centers and Used Cars Tucson is Hiring a Collision Estimator Near Tucson, AZ

At Chapman Collision Center, we are committed to making the repair process as simple and stress-free as possible for our customers. We are looking for an experienced Collision Estimator to help our team deliver the best possible collision repair experience to our clients, acting as a liaison between customers, insurance companies, and other members of the body shop. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the vehicle repair process and working with insurance companies, empathetic, and a great relationship builder. The Estimator reports to the Collision Center Manager.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Greet customers, check in vehicles and educate the customer on the repair process
  • Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage and go over the damages with technicians
  • Determine feasibility of repair vs. replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors
  • Write complete and accurate estimates, invoice repairs, and order parts
  • Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimate and recommendations
  • Finalize repair tickets and follow up with insurance companies for final payment
  • Keep customers informed throughout the repair process, providing regular updates and estimated completion times

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of prior collision estimator experience is required
  • Familiarity with Mitchell & CCC1 estimating software required
  • Knowledgeable about insurance company guidelines
  • Strong customer service background with the ability to think from the customer’s perspective and show empathy for their situation
  • Reliable self-starter who is motivated to achieve goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Hours and Work Environment

This role requires working in an office environment, frequently working with technicians in our climate-controlled shop, and occasionally maneuvering around or under vehicles to assess damages. Hours are Monday – Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm at our Speedway Collision Center.
