Position purpose:
Position has heavy customer contact, interacts with other department personnel on a daily basis, contact with manufacturers, and interacts with other outside agents and vendors. This position has no direct supervisory responsibility or authority over other personnel. The position handles confidential customer and company information, as well as company funds.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Responsible for opening and closing customer contracts.
- Assists customers in a friendly, professional and efficient manner, including identifying and rectifying in a timely manner any customer relations issues that may arise.
- Performs standard bookkeeping tasks associated with the fleet department to include:
- Preparation and dissemination of gross profit spreadsheets.
- Reporting vehicles to the manufacture.
- Applying for and factory incentives.
- Accurately maintains accounts payable and receivable journals.
- Interacts with the parts and service departments.
- Has responsibility for reporting sales to the manufacturer.
- Prepares various other daily business reports.
- Maintains fleet related data in accordance with pre-established vehicle safety and maintenance standards.

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information, both written and oral. High School diploma or the equivalent. Experience in the use of computers and creating spreadsheets, understanding accounting, and profit margins. Must have a high degree of customer service and interpersonal skills.
Preferences:
Excellent customer service-related experience with fleet management experience.
