Our team includes two board-certified plastic surgeons, a nurse practitioner, and a licensed esthetician, all dedicated to helping patients achieve their aesthetic and reconstructive goals. What You'll Do :
As a Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in our patient-centered practice by :
- Assisting in patient care : Triaging, rooming patients, and assisting surgeons during consultations and procedures.
- Coordinating appointments : Managing patient check-in / check-out, scheduling follow-ups, and verifying insurance benefits.
- Administrative support : Scanning records, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to HIPAA and medical protocols.
- Supporting clinic operations : Preparing exam rooms, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace, and floating between the front and back office as needed.
What We’re Looking For :
Qualifications : Certified MA (CCMA, CMA, or RMA) with at least 1 year of experience. Previous experience in plastic surgery is preferred but not required
Skills : Experience using Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Teams is a plus, as well as NextGen EMR, LeadingReach, and Rhinogram- we love technology! Previous experience / knowledge of Obagi, Jane Iredale, and Tizo skincare products a plus.
Professionalism : Strong organizational skills, a polished and professional demeanor, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Empathy and compassion : Ability to support patients through pre- and post-operative care with sensitivity and understanding.
Flexibility : Willingness to travel between our Mt. Pleasant and Summerville locations as needed.
