Description
- Oversee the management and maintenance of Sybase ASE and Sybase Replication Server databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Conduct in-depth performance tuning and optimization to ensure efficient database operations, utilizing advanced monitoring tools and techniques.
- Develop and implement robust backup and recovery procedures, as well as disaster recovery plans, to safeguard database integrity.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database design for application performance, including advising on best practices and potential enhancements.
- Provide critical 24x7 support for database environments, resolving complex issues and ensuring minimal downtime.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as a DBA, with extensive expertise in managing Sybase ASE and Sybase Replication Server environments.
- Proven track record in database performance tuning and optimization, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues.
- Strong practical experience in database security, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in SQL scripting and familiar with scripting for automation of DBA tasks, using database monitoring tools.
