The Refugee Employment and Acculturation Services (REAS) Area Manager will coordinate and oversee REAS case management services and will ensure service delivery meets contractual requirements. Will coordinate case assignments to case management staff, review case manager’s work to ensure quality and provide training.
Responsibilities :
- Current and thorough knowledge of Refugee Employment Program Contract requirements, deliverables, policies, procedures and case management systems.
- Supervise day-to-day service flow and work of the REP case management team.
- Manage schedule and assignments for REP case management team, including coordination of intake and follow up services for clients.
- Assure REAS staff follow contractual requirements for service delivery.
- Conduct staff supervision meetings with REP staff on at least a monthly basis.
- Conduct daily reviews of case manager’s casework, including review of data entered into the County’s CalSAWS system and work with staff to make corrections as necessary.
- Approve case actions in CalSAWS as contractually required and within established timeframes.
- Prepare and conduct staff training as needed and maintain a log of all trainings provided.
- Prepare files and meet with County Auditors as needed during monitoring visits.
- Provide internal quality assurance reviews of REP cases.
- Oversee REP data management, analyses data and prepare reports.
- Work with staff to ensure client intake assessments are properly handled, and that the flow of REP services following intake are aligned with contract timelines and service delivery requirements.
- Take initiative to implement structure and programs to make programs more efficient.
- Update Contract Manager promptly regarding problems and issues with REP service delivery, staff or contract compliance.
- Participate in all Employment Support Partnership management team activities.
- Provide any other type of case support to case managers as required.
- Submits detailed and thorough documentation in compliance with REAS / REP policies.
- Coordinates agreements and services with other agencies, community centers, providers etc.
- Develops and implements ongoing public relations to promote program.
- May assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring.
- Displays sensitivity to the client population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
